Support Kennedy Students Graduation Trip

I (Athena Powles) is creating this for the senior class of 2024:

My name is Fatima Renteria and I am the Senior President for the Class of 2024 at John F. Kennedy High School, which serves predominantly Black and Latinx students. This year has been economically difficult for a lot of our families and we have struggled to raise enough funds for our Senior Graduation trip to Universal Studios. Throughout this school year and previous years, my class has been fundraising money for our Grad Nite transportation. Unfortunately, we don’t have enough money to pay for our transportation, and without additional funds, we will not be able to fund Grad Nite. That is why I wanted to come here to seek support from our community, so my class can have a great Grad Nite trip. Grad Nite is a part of the culture of high schools throughout California and it would be unfair for my class to not be able to go as a result of funds. On behalf of my peers, we are hoping to fund $10,000. We appreciate any contribution given to get my Senior Class to Southern California for our graduation trip!
