Honoring Kenneth Graham: Pasadena’s Dedicated Forestry Superintendent
Kenneth Graham has long been a pillar of our community, serving as the City of Pasadena’s Forestry Superintendent since the 1990s. Through windstorms, rainstorms, and heatwaves, he has always been our first responder, ensuring the safety of our city and its residents—just as he always has, and just as he always will.
Sadly, during the recent Eaton Canyon fires, Kenny lost his home of 32 years, which was reduced to ashes. While we are incredibly thankful that he and his loved ones were able to evacuate safely, this tragedy has destroyed everything he worked so hard to build.
In the midst of this disaster, Kenny never thought of himself. Instead, he was out in the field, clearing roads and making paths passable so residents could safely evacuate. His selflessness and dedication exemplify what it means to serve one’s community.
We want to take this moment to say: Thank you, Kenny.
To help Kenny we are asking for monetary donations or gift cards. He deserves all the support we can give, just as he has always supported us. Together, we can help him and his family rise from the ashes—because, as the saying goes, “a rose can grow from concrete.”
Additionally, we extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to help Kenny’s daughter, the Butler family, who also lost their home during the Eaton Canyon fire. Your generosity has been deeply appreciated.
But we’re not stopping there.
Kenny has always gone above and beyond for the City of Pasadena. Over the years, he has made sure that underserved communities had opportunities to be a part of this great city’s workforce, just as he was once given that same chance. His commitment to inclusivity, equity, and service is an inspiration to us all.
While we know insurance will help Kenny , this is our opportunity to show him the same love and care he has always shown us. He has been a friend to this city, a protector of its people, and a tireless advocate for our community.
Let’s come together to show him how much he means to us. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
