Support Kenzie's Fight Against IgA Vasculitis

Ashley & Matt Jones are friends & customers of mine. They are wonderful parents to 3 beautiful children, and their youngest daughter Kenzie was diagnosed with IgA vasculitis back in April. This disease has been attacking her kidneys to the point they are only functioning at about 20%. Since April she has been going through so much. She has undergone numerous amounts of testing, immunosuppressant infusion drugs which required hospitalization on and off, renal biopsies, PIcc Line’s, high blood pressure, elevated potassium levels, vomiting, and fluid retention from the kidney’s not functioning.

On September 20th she was referred to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Nephrology department. After her appointment the dr sent her straight to the ER and she has been there ever since. Monday, October 21, Kenzie’s Oxygen kept dropping even with the oxygen machine when transitioning to the bi-pap machine which required them to sedate her and put her on a vent. They were able to remove 14.5 liters of fluids from her with Aquadex dialysis, but they are now going to try CRT dialysis which is a continuous dialysis until they get this fluid off.

They have already been at children’s hospital for over a month and I’m sure they are feeling the financial burden from taking off work. Also, with 2 children at home and the trips back and forth, I’m sure this would help w/ the traveling expenses as well. I ask if you can find it in your heart to donate something to help them in this time of need. No amount is too small as you can imagine what a cup of coffee would mean to someone who is sitting in a hospital for over a month. If you are unable to donate financially, please, please pray for her. She needs our prayers, and the family could use some lifting up as well.
