Support Kerri's Family in Recovering Their Car

Hello community. Thank you for taking the time to read about my situation. My name is Kerri and here’s my story-
The first picture I have uploaded is my 2018 Hyndai Kona, and the second are the gates to the towing company that has my car trapped inside. I have had this car since 2020 and it has been the safest car I’ve ever had. All wheel drive, only had 1 owner before it, never in an accident. It is tiny, but I love it for my family, which consists of me, my boyfriend Dustin, and 4 sons (Julian is 15, Hadyen is 13, Jensyn is 11 and and Layne is 3). We have an old Buick that we drive if everyone is going to the same place!

My monthly payment is high ($496) but I have terrible credit. So does my boyfriend but he’s got the Buick that he pays for. My Hyndai Kona was $18,000 in 2020 and at this point, before it was repossessed, there is less than $9,000 left to pay. I was doing really well!

Then right before Christmas the engine stopped working. It ended up being the belts on both sides but our mechanic said I may as well get a new car. Well this is where the magic comes in ✨ I wrote a certified letter to Hyndai headquarters in California and told them everything. I’ve had this car for less than 4 years at the time, oil changes are kept up- the engine should not have stopped working! Thank you God- Hyndai paid for my engine! $7k and they put a brand new engine in there. I am and forever will be grateful for what they did for me. Ironically, this is when the struggle began.
Going through the bills for December and January, we had spent just over 1,000$ on rental cars (we used Enterprise for 3 weeks) and Uber (sometimes up to 10 miles). I was still establishing my small Kids Yoga Business, and didn’t want to cancel my classes. Hyndai paid for my rental car while they worked on my Kona, but the 3 weeks my car sat on the side of the road weren’t free for me. I was paying so much money to get around and make sure my children and I had transportation.
To make matters more complex, our 3 year old just started an “All Inclusive” daycare a few days a week so that I can travel locally and teach Children’s Yoga & Mindfulness! We were slowly falling behind already because of the extra expense for daycare, the insane amount for food, and paying $500 a week for a rental car 3 weeks in a row immediately put us behind.

So to make a long story short, my car has been repossessed and I have to have $3200 by March 7! I will have about $1300 to put towards this- but I really need the help coming up with the remaining $1900 so I dont lose my car.

If there is anyone out there that can help my family and I - if there are a few hundred people who could donate $10 - I would be forever grateful.
