Support Kerry's Urgent Foot Surgery Recovery

My name is Kerry. My foot is broken. It never healed from a surgery 11 months ago.

They had to break my foot in 2 places with screws and put a pin in my toe. It was supposed to fix it because I was in a lot of pain. 8 weeks recovery from that. After telling the dr it’s still hurting only worse now he ordered a ct and saw the broken bone. I have to have surgery for this. They are going to need to cut bone from my heal to help fix the break. And put a plate in it too a day.

I left my abusive alcoholic husband in April. I’m down to just my income to pay my bills. I have 2 roommates so that helps. I really don’t want to see all I have accomplished just go away. My own space without being yelled out daily. I found peace. I paid my car off. My confidence is growing. I don’t want to have to go back to that or be homeless. I have temporary disability but pretty much pays my insurance.

I Work as an online shopper. I walk 7-10 miles a day without exaggeration. I have been pushing through with all my might to get through the day. Have to work to make money right?. There’s no light duty since I didn’t get hurt at work.

I Don’t like to ask for help but I am desperate. I was supposed to have the surgery on October 16. Had to cancel due to finances. I can’t stand this pain for much longer. It swells up so bad. There’s days that I can’t get a shoe on.

I must have this surgery. The pain is awful, especially at work, and is getting worse by the week. Or worse I’ll end up on disability. I’m scheduled to have surgery for this on October 16. Recovery time is 12 weeks; 6 weeks non-weight bearing. I won’t be able to work. Thank you for taking the time to consider me.
