Support The Manley Family in the Aftermath of the Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Our dear friends and family—Kevin, Mary Ruth and their two children Mercer (3) and Elle (1) have been displaced from their home in Altadena due to the Eaton fire. They left their home on Tuesday, January 7th with a few essentials assuming they’d be returning once the winds calmed and the power was restored. Instead their community was burned to the ground overnight and into the next day. As many families deal with the total loss of their homes, the Manleys are extremely fortunate to still have their house standing. However, their backyard, back house, and storage of belongings were completely destroyed, and the devastation surrounding them is overwhelming. On every side—north, south, east, and west—the landscape has been reduced to a wasteland.
Toxic smoke and debris have rendered the items inside unusable, and the mental anguish of returning to live under these conditions is unimaginable. Their entire neighborhood and community have been wiped out, leaving them surrounded by devastation at every turn. The months and years ahead will be physically and emotionally taxing as they navigate the long, grueling, and uncertain process while trying to rebuild their lives.
We are so grateful for their safety and they are so thankful for the outpouring of love, support, and offerings people have given this week. While goods are needed, until they know where they will be living a helpful way we can support is by donating to a GoFundMe page. If you are able, please donate to help Kevin and Mary Ruth as they navigate this challenging time. And please share this GoFundMe with your family and friends if you can. They need all the support and love they can get during this time.
Thank you all so much in advance.
