Hello, my name is Kevin Lee-Y Green.

I am reaching out in a moment of genuine need, hoping you might be moved to help me through an extraordinarily difficult time. I am a choreographer, educator, and cultural innovator based in Wilmington, NC, and for over two decades, I have committed my life to empowering at-risk youth and providing a creative voice to those who are disenfranchised. Through my work, I have aimed to build an inclusive platform that celebrates artistry, resilience, and community—especially for those living below the poverty line, who often feel overlooked and underrepresented.

I have poured my heart and soul into this work, striving to uplift young people and provide opportunities where they might otherwise not exist. My home has always been a safe haven for many in need; over the years, I have taken in homeless individuals, helping them get back on their feet. I have worked with those struggling with addiction, helping them find jobs and stability. I have raised and mentored countless youth and young adults, providing a nurturing environment that allowed them to reach their fullest potential. The joy of watching them grow, learn, and thrive has been one of my life’s greatest rewards.

Unfortunately, despite my dedication, I have come to face a financial crisis that is beyond my ability to resolve on my own. I am currently at risk of eviction, a prospect that I am grappling with every day. No matter how hard I try or how many resources I tap into, I am unable to meet the financial demands necessary to secure stable housing, and it is an overwhelming burden I cannot bear alone.

This is why I am reaching out to you. I am in urgent need of financial support, and I am humbly asking for any contribution you can offer to prevent me from becoming unhoused. I have worked tirelessly to be a light for others, to be a source of hope and encouragement for youth, and a catalyst for change in our community. But right now, I need the help of this same community and those who believe in the power of art and positive mentorship.
