Support for Keyante’s funeral and medical expenses

Hi, My name is Courtney Watson. My son Keyante Campbell 20 years of age was recently a victim of Chicago's gun violence. Saturday April 13th, 2024 at 7:00pm while my son Keyante was driving home, literally five minutes from home he was shot in the head. Due to the shot spotter, CPD found my son in the middle of the street slumped over the middle console of our family car with are vehicle still in drive. My son was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Once he reached the hospital he flatlined and was brought back but then fell into a coma which lead him to be placed on life support because he was not able to breath on his own. While still in the ER me and my husband were informed that his injuries were beyond repair at the time and his condition was so unstable that they really couldn't do much but give him blood and try and regulate his blood pressure. He's since been in the ICU and it's been a roller coaster ride. At this current time my son's kidneys have failed and he sustained a injury to his liver due to lack of oxygen.

My son at this time does have some blood flow to his brain so me and my family remain optimistic that he can possibly make a change with time and more care.

We recently found out that due to my son's recent job switch he lost his medical insurance, without Insurance at this time my son's treatment can become affected.

So I'm asking family and friends if you can help in anyway, my family and I will be very grateful. I just want to exhaust all avenues for my son to give him more time to possibly turn his current direction into a greater one.
