Support Khalila in welcoming baby A!

Hi, my name is Dyani and I'm currently helping my sister Khalila welcome her firstborn into the world!

This gift is such special one for me because, as many of you know, we lost our mom suddenly and unexpectedly back in March of 2021. Shortly after finding out Khalila was pregnant, we learned that the due date (November 30th) is one day before our mom's birthday!!!

Growing up, our mother often shared with us the significance of our birth stories and how a birthing experience can impact our lives and healing journeys. Following a traumatic experience birthing Khalila at hospital, our mom chose to birth me at home with a midwife. It's a decision she always cherished. Now, Khalila has decided to pursue a natural water birth at home with her first child, and I'm grateful to be with her as a witness and support system.

This choice is incredibly healing for us already, but as many of you also know, the costs associated with single motherhood and home birth (which is not covered through Khalila's health insurance), are very extensive and can get overwhelming. In preparation for her natural birth, Khalila has invested in support from a doula, a home birth midwife, a chiropractor, and pelvic floor therapist.

As her due date quickly approaches, we are now in need of support and raising money for the following expenses:

$400 - Doula (remaining balance)

$1500 - Midwife (remaining balance)

$150 - Chiropractor (3 more appointments)

$50 - Birthing class (balance)

$145 - Pelvic floor consultation

$200 - Placenta pill encapsulation

$555 - remaining items from baby registry
