Support Khatol in bringing her family to Canada

Hello everyone,

My name is Khatol Sahak. I work at Ridley College, in St. catharines Ontario, as a Teacher and Assistant Head of House. I came to Canada as a refugee when I was a teenager. The rest of my family remained in Afghanistan.

For the past 13 years, I have been working hard to support my family and to try to reunite with them in Canada. My family recently underwent biometrics and medical checkups for their application, and we are hoping that they will be able to arrive in Canada soon.

The separation from my family and the sponsorship process has been long and arduous – but we are finally nearing reunification.

I am reaching out to ask for your support as I try to prepare for their arrival. I am incredibly lucky to have been afforded the opportunities of life in Canada. I hope my siblings too get a chance at a fresh start in life here.
