Support Kids Unplugged: Keep Our Gym Open

Hello to all the Kids Unplugged family, friends and fans,

Over the years we have watched business after business close under the weight of COVID. For almost 9 years, we have somehow managed to "just keep swimming." The state COVID guidelines hit gyms hard and it took over a year before we were able to actually be back at a fully functioning gym. Because the gym financially is half of our income, it was a devastating hit. Just before COVID, we were almost a debt free business and were on track to expand.

Once we were able to open the gym, it was clear people weren't coming back out yet. It has taken almost 3 years for our registration and attendance to get back to normal so over time we have had to take out different small loans to help get us through.

Our business income has increased every year and is looking up and we're almost where we need to be financially but if you know Lee personally, you know that this summer brought unexpected trials and loss that took a toll on the business. The combination of all of these factors have lead to where we are today.

So, here we are, we have found ourselves at a pivotal moment and under some tight time deadlines (we have 30 days). We need help. We are not prepared to close the doors of our sweet little gym and daycare but we may not have a choice. If KU has been an important part of your family's lives, we are asking for help! It's not a huge amount but it's bigger than we can overcome on our own at this moment.

Any amount you can spare and shares will help too! Please spread the word so we can continue to bring joy and a safe play for kids and families to play in Belfast!

We have weathered so many storms, it doesn't seem like this should be our final gauntlet!!!
