Support Kim During Her Breast Cancer Journey

Donation protected
My name is Chloe, and I am Kim's daughter. Kim Crigger is not only an amazing friend, aunt, daughter, yoga instructor, and health coach, but she is an amazing mom to Collin and me. Kim's niece, Elena, and I are creating this GoFundMe in hopes to take the financial burden of breast cancer treatment off her shoulders so that she can focus on healing. In December 2022, my mom noticed an indentation on her right breast. On May 5th, 2023 (the day before her birthday) she learned that she has breast cancer. Not the best birthday present she has ever received, but we are happy that it seems to be slow-growing and only stage 2. On June 30th, 2023, Kim was let go from her job due to company downsizing. My mom is passionate about healthy living, yoga, running, eating clean, and having fun with friends and family. It was a shock to us all when we found out about her diagnosis. It seemed impossible that someone so healthy and full of life could receive this earth-shattering news, but as everyone knows, cancer does not discriminate. Kim is currently receiving care from the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, OH and also from Erin Holston Singh, N.D. with Options Naturopathic in Cleveland, OH. She has a unilateral mastectomy pending in September and is on a strict holistic protocol in preparation for surgery. Once she has the mastectomy, 12 weeks later she will have an intense reconstruction surgery. (DIEP flap reconstruction) She will be facing a very long recovery time between these two surgeries. Dealing with cancer emotionally, spiritually, and physically is already hard enough- but given the recent news of losing her job, we are asking for help. Not only does Kim need financial support for her surgery, medication, and appointments, but she also needs help with everyday expenses until she finds a new job (which will be hard to find since she's busy with appointments and treatment). She was denied financial aid from the hospital and is currently working with the personnel to override this decision. The bright side is- she is maintaining a positive attitude, doing everything she can within herself to heal, and feels the love and support from everyone around her. Any help would be greatly appreciated, whether that be donating, praying, or keeping my mom in your thoughts. Thank you!
