Support Kima's Life-Saving Surgery

This is Kima. We (Alexus and Alexa) are the proud owners of this 5 year old, insanely spunky, especially animated, crazy sweet, and loving dog.
Last Tuesday we took her in for a vet visit, she had been getting a little winded after playing and looked like she had gained some weight, but we never expected the results. Kima has a rare condition in dogs called Chylothorax. Her lymphatic draining duct is leaking a fatty liquid into her chest cavity and pressing against her lungs and heart. They’ve ruled out any underlying cause, which means it just happened for no reason. They have drained over 14 cups of liquid in the past 8 days. She is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday and we are trying to get a loan, but we keep running into problems, one being identity theft, and it’s starting to look impossible. We have already spent $10,000 on the vet visit, both emergency visits to drain the fluid, and the cat scan to try and figure out what was causing it. The surgery will cost anywhere between $15,000 and $20,000 which we just don’t have.
We have been down on our luck in regards to pets the last year. Our grumpy old man kitten Barry (he’s 9) had two urinary blockages, which had him in the hospital for collectively over a week and cost us close to $11,000. He is in good health now, and lately has taken to entering Kima’s kennel while she’s been at the vet.
Our other dog Willow (she’s 3) started losing all her hair, and her skin turned red with hot spots. She was chewing off the end of her tail, she had constant ear infections, and she wouldn’t gain any weight. We finally found a vet to help us and after all the tests and medications (costing upwards of $6,000) we found out that she is allergic to almost everything and her body doesn’t process protein. She is finally back in good health, but has been depressed while Kima has been at the vet. They are inseparable, and Willow is lost without her.
Our dog Kima is the center of our household. Life does not run the same when she is not around. She is so young and has so much life ahead of her. Other than this freak condition she is absolutely healthy. This surgery has an 75%-100% success rate and can save her life. We are not the type of people to ask for help, but we can’t lose our dog. We are trying everything, all we can hope for is that it’s enough. Please help us.
