Friends, families and loved ones we are asking for help and prayers from our community.
Many of us have had a very hard and difficult year. Losing loved ones, jobs and much more
I am writing this story for someone who is too modest to ask for help in her time of need. Someone who will go out of their way to do anything to help you. Someone who always sacrifices their own time and needs to give to others. Someone who is my family.
Kimberly Renee Tracey
Kim has worked at least two jobs at a time since she was 17. She participated in the Big Brother Big Sister program and Volunteer Impact program. She would also volunteer for tutoring at Wayne State, all while working both jobs and going to school full time to achieve her degree in education.
Hard working and passionate Kimberly being an essential worker has and continues to work throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
She is having a financial hardship at this time with more to come.
Kimberly started experiencing lapses of memory and she was sent for an MRI. Kim was diagnosed with Glioma; a brain tumor in 2019. She has had numerous MRI's to monitor its progression. She was tentatively scheduled to have her operation during the summer but due to Covid-19 surgrey was postponed.
Since then she has become pregnant and this presents a higher risk of the growth of her tumor. Most likely she will be having her surgery shortly after the baby is born. This is going to be a very difficult time for her as she recuperates. With the recovering time being 3 to 4 months she will be at a loss from both her jobs and source of income.
While preparing for the time to come and saving everything she could spare, the Kia Soul she only had for 7 months had its engine seize. Although properly maintaining her car Kimberly was told this was not covered under the Kia warranty. So now she has a car that she is making payments due to still owing 12,000 more on, and has to have it insured and yet is unable to drive it due to the price of repairs. The cost of a new engine and installation is approximately 7,000.
Despite all these hardships Kim is staying positive and trying to carry on with life as normal as possible.
I know these are trying times for everyone, but if you are able to help, even the smallest donation, we would be so incredibly grateful. Thank you so very much for you support and love. If you are unable to donate please send prayers and share her story.
