Support Kimberly Watson's Health Journey

Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

I am reaching out to share the story of my mother, Kimberly Watson, who is facing serious health challenges that have profoundly impacted her life and career. After over 36 years as a dedicated Registered Nurse providing life-saving care to critically ill patients while showing heart felt empathy and compassion to her patients and their families, she is unable to return to her bedside role due to recent medical restrictions, and we need your support during this difficult time.

Her Story: Kim Watson has always been a beacon of strength, providing compassionate care to countless patients. Unfortunately, her own health has taken a turn. She has been diagnosed with coronary artery disease and failing of her kidneys. Her blood pressure is dangerously high requiring several medication adjustments which has not been successful, putting her at risk for a stroke, a fatal heart attack, and End Stage Renal Disease requiring dialysis if her kidneys continue to decline. After experiencing chest pains, she underwent a heart catheterization in July and the doctors found a 60% blockage in her LAD artery, which is the main artery that supplies the heart with 50% of the oxygen your heart needs to function properly. This type of heart attack is fatal and called the “widow maker” which can lead to death as there is not much that can be done at the time of the heart attack. She is now dealing with an acute kidney injury, with elevated creatinine levels putting her at risk for kidney failure.

Due to these health challenges, her workplace cannot accommodate her restrictions, and they are working to find her a suitable position while she is on short-term disability. This transition is not only difficult emotionally but also poses significant financial challenges, as she is now living on a reduced income.

• Medical expenses (doctor visits, medications, treatments)

• Everyday living costs (rent/mortgage, utilities)( She’s at risk of losing her house)

• Groceries and basic necessities

• Transportation needs (she is at risk of losing her car)

• Assistance during her job transition and any potential new job requirements
