Support Kimberly's Journey to Stability

Hi, my name is Victoria and I am fundraising for a woman that I met back in October. Her name is Kimberly and she is a Mom and has a senior dog and a cat. She has been unhoused and living outside by the Malibu library for over a year and a half. I would often see Kimberly and her son when I would drop my kids off at the bus stop for school. She was unhoused but still working at Whole Foods. One day while walking my dogs, I decided to talk to her, and she broke down in tears. I asked her where her son was and whether she was still working at Whole Foods. Her son had gotten a scholarship to college and went to school in Santa Cruz. Since he could no longer watch her senior dog and cat while she was working at Whole Foods, she had to quit.
Kimberly is a lovely person to talk to. She has a college education and managerial skills. She is desperate for a job.
Kimberly was living in an apartment in Point Dume with her son and her dog and cat before she fell in hard times and a family member stole money from her. She had a truck but eventually she could not afford to make the repairs needed. She desperately wants to find housing so that she can get a job. As you can imagine it is hell for a single woman sleeping outside alone. She is cold her pets are cold and when her son comes home from college, he doesn't have a home to come home to. Her animals need veterinary care and her son has bills that the scholarship does not cover.
I have helped her with money and tents, sleeping bags clothes and have offered to get her at least a few nights at a hotel.
Please consider donating any amount to help Kimberly and her animals get off the street and into a safe apartment.
Thank you
