Kimble Jemison Deener - Cancer Journey

Kimble Jemison Deener is a loving light and friend to many. With a life mantra of Love what you do and Do what you love, Kimble has always faced life and life's challenges with a positive attitude and Can Do spirit. As many of you know, Kimble has been in the battle of his life, for his life, these past few months. As we all sheltered in place to ride out the Coronavirus pandemic wave, Kimble was bracing for a very different storm, Stage II Colon Cancer. For the last several months, Kimble has fought through 2 rounds of 24x7 chemotherapy while simultaneously enduring daily radiation treatments.  Though his body has taken a serious beating through this process, his spirits have remained  high (or at least as high as possible in light of what he has had to face and endure.) While he is not yet out of the woods, it's time for us all to start getting back to some semblance of normalcy, including him.   What many of us don't think about are the expenses involved when going through cancer treatment; even when you have healthcare insurance. For Kimble, the expense of his treatment has been compounded because he has had to straddle between here (the U.S.) and his new home in Vancouver, Canada .  This has meant airfares, car rentals, Airbnb's and MANY other unexpected expenses that have been financially devastating for someone who has been unable to work while going to daily appointments and dealing with the dramatic side effects of chemo.
