Support Kinslee's Cleft Palate Surgery Recovery

Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Jeannine. I am one of Kinslee's grandmas.

On November 30th, 2021, our beautiful grandbaby made her entrance into this world and it was quite the entrance! She was the most beautiful baby, though I'm sure every grandparent says that. Her birth was the best and scariest moment of our lives!

We were overjoyed at the arrival of our first grandchild and witnessing this next chapter of our oldest child's life. We were also terrified because this little human was born with a couple of challenges that had us all unsure, at that moment, what the outcome would be for this precious being and her parents.

One of the challenges Kinslee was born with was a cleft palate. Our kids, her parents, had to learn quickly and on the fly about parenting a child with a cleft palate. They have done a fantastic job of learning and adapting to life with Kinslee! Learning about Kinslee's needs, her additional care, the different doctors needed, and how to keep her healthy was not an easy task but they have done great, especially as first-time parents!

On March 10th, Kinslee is going to finally get the first of her surgeries for the cleft palate repair at Children's Hospital. Being from Vancouver Island means they are travelling via BC Ferries and staying in a hotel close to the hospital for a little while as there isn't a hospital close to them that is capable of caring for her if there are complications upon returning home.

Kinslee's dad will be taking time off from work to help with Kinslee's recovery care and so their income will be reduced for a while as a result. To help offset this loss of income, the cost of travelling for the surgery and follow-up appointments, accommodations, meals, and any of the additional costs needed for Kinslee's recovery during this time. Though our kids will be focused on Kinslee, they will still have rent, bills, doggy daycare, and all the other financial responsibilities that come with being adults to take care of. We would like to help offset as much financial stress as we can so that they can focus on caring for their little girl.

Any little bit will help them and be appreciated by all that love our Little Miss Kinslee!
