Support Kisha, Brian, and Baby Lennon's NICU Journey

On behalf of Kisha Peterson and Brian Jordan I'm organizing a fundraiser to help Kisha, Brian, and Lennon, have an easier transition as a new family. As many of you now know Kisha's water broke early at 32 weeks of pregnancy and we welcomed Lennon into the world via emergency C-section 2 months premature on August 24th. Kisha was admitted several days prior to the hospital and immediately put on bedrest leading up to Lennon's birth. At this point the clock began ticking on Kisha's maternity leave. Kisha then had to remain in the hospital several days after his birth to heal and also start producing milk to bring Lennon and have skin to skin contact with baby Lennon. Brian at this point has already begun commuting back and forth from work, which as I understand is over a 2hr commute (from Hollywood to Edwards Air Force Base as an aviation jet plane mechanic) one way. He is also working his audio engineering job on the weekends. On his way back home he stops at the NICU to be with Kisha and Lennon and drive Kisha home. In this economy I understand it is difficult for many of us. For those that have ever dealt with the US hospital system you know that even with insurance the bills are exorbitant. Kisha and Brian will be responsible for Kisha's stay along with Lennon's medical stay. He has now been in the NICU for nearly 4 weeks where he continues to grow and learn how to develop his suck, swallow reflex. Once he does this his medical team will be able to remove his feeding tube. This is hard work for a little baby to learn how drink milk and breath at the same time. Difficult on his lungs and body (bradycardia/apnea) where Lennon could potentially stop breathing and trigger his heart into distress for a few seconds at a time while feeding. While Lennon has had some trouble in early on, he continues to fight, overcome, and make gains and grow daily. He certainly is a warrior destined to do great things! Please help me lift some of the burden for this beautiful new family and incredible NICU fighter, Lennon Jordan! In the meantime while Lennon is in the NICU, I will continue to post updates here on Lennon's on progress.
