Support Kittery Family In Need

This Go Fund Me page has been created in an effort to find support for a long-time Kittery resident who has continuously given back to our community .

Judy Bickley, a school bus driver for 40+ years (fondly known by many as “Bus 10”), has a huge heart. She is always stepping up when she sees someone in need. For years, working the well-known local “Stuff a Bus” event, helping to provide thousands of gifts for children. Knowing residents when they are in need themselves and bringing them hot cooked meals, making sure they have their needs met when they are struggling.

Judy can’t pass up a good yard sale, picking up a decent backpack or coat as she gives them to children when she sees the need.

Last summer at a yard sale, she met an elderly lady who was trying to sell her shed to put in a handicap ramp. After learning the lady’s circumstances, she went to the food pantry and her own pantry and delivered her food.

Several of us have been a recipient of a pan of lasagna, plant, thoughtful gift, or baked goods, to name a few. Something to show she cares when she hears someone is ill or otherwise going through rough times. These acts of kindness come from Judy on a regular basis. She’s always cooking something for someone!

The beginning of 2023, circumstances changed, and Judy became the sole provider for her household. She secured a second job in an effort to make ends meet and make needed repairs on the home. We have great admiration and respect for all she has accomplished thus far.

Judy has recently lost one of her pellet stoves, a main source of heat for their home. There are other repairs needed as well, so any funds raised or assistance with repairs is deeply appreciated.
