Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, Rolly Ann Dolores Leilani Kaalekahi-Adams, affectionately known as "KK." She left this world on August 11, 2024, from an unexpected heart attack in the loving presence of her husband, Michael. KK was a beacon of love, warmth, and generosity, touching countless lives with her spirit of ALOHA. As we navigate this profound loss, we are committed to honoring her legacy and fulfilling her dream of returning to Molokai, Hawaii, to establish a foundation for her future grandchildren.
About KK
Born on the island of Molokai, KK was a proud daughter of Rolland and Loretta Kaalekahi. She was a spirited member of her high school cheerleading squad and a dedicated servicewoman in the U.S. Air Force. In her heart she always wanted to be there for people, especially for the children. As the school secretary for West Leyden/Boonville Elementary, her role in school administration was important, however the role she was best at was giving support, caring and understanding to all the kids at school. KK's life was filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to her family and community. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother to her children Kale, Cody, and Kiana, and a cherished figure in her community in Boonville, NY.
KK's heart was always open to others, and she was known for her kindness, her love for food, travel & new experiences, and her ability to bring people together. She was passionate about her Hawaiian heritage and dreamed of returning to Molokai to create a lasting legacy for her family.
Our Mission
KK and her husband Michael were traveling before her passing, requiring her to be transported back to New York where she and her husband lived. In honor of KK's wishes, we are planning to transport her back to Molokai for her final resting place to continue her vision of establishing a legacy for her children and grandchildren allowing them to always have a place to call “home” in Hawaii. This unexpected journey involves significant costs, and we humbly ask for your support during this challenging time.
