Support Kobby's Family in Their Time of Grief
Donation protected
On the 31st July, Ishmael Amuzu-Quaidoo, affectionately known as Kobby, was reported missing in the River North/Chicago Loop area.
On the 3rd August at 8am, He was tragically found unresponsive in the Chicago river close to Adams Street Bridge. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding his death still remain unclear and as such his family, who are based in Ghana, have been left both crippled with grief and confused as to how this could have happened. Investigations are still ongoing.
Kobby had lived and worked in Chicago since 2020, where he was not just a wonderful colleague, but also a talented photographer and a beloved member of the creative community.
We are hoping to raise enough funds to help relieve some of the financial burdens that the family are sure to face in the upcoming days/weeks, such as travel costs for his sister, the designated family member from Ghana to the US to oversee the arrangements, most importantly the repatriation of his remains from the USA back to his home country plus funeral costs.
Additional funds, if any, will help support his family through this tough period as the money Kobby would regularly send back home for his parents medical care will no longer arrive due to his passing.
Thank you for your support during this incredibly difficult time. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated.
