Support Kole's Recovery Journey Together

Hello, my name is Emily Cray. I am writing this with a heavy heart. My youngest brother, Kole Cray, was at his bus stop on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, and collapsed. He is 17 years old and lives with his mother and twin sister, Kylie Cray, in Maine. After suddenly collapsing, he stopped breathing and started having seizures. There was a woman who happened to be a nurse on the scene who performed CPR until EMS arrived, ultimately saving his life. Upon arrival at the hospital in Bangor, it became apparent this was a heart-related issue. The hospital put him under sedation to monitor his heart and condition and on a ventilator to stabilize his breathing. It has been determined that he has Brugada syndrome. What we are still unsure of is what neurological ramifications may have been caused by this event. Kole is still under heavy sedation and being monitored at Boston Children’s Hospital. His Maine family, as well as our father, Jason Cray, and our oldest brother, Ryan Cray, are doing everything they can to stay by his side during this difficult time. Unfortunately, this was an unforeseen event that no one was financially prepared for. If there is anything anyone can do to help my family with the overwhelming financial burden so that they can focus on Kole and his recovery, it would be greatly appreciated. Prayers are also needed, and greatly appreciated!!!
