About Us
Kreative Kollective, founded on September 21, 2021, in Brownsville, Brooklyn, NY, by Coach Kevin McGee, is more than just a step organization—it’s a family and a movement. Coach Kevin, a proud Morehouse College alumnus and NYC educator/creative director, created this organization to provide creative outlets, mentorship, and leadership opportunities for youth in underserved communities.
Our step teams are already proven champions:
- Kreative Kontrol (Middle School): 2023 Youth Step USA National Champions (Middle School Co-Ed) and 2024 3rd Place Winners
Why We Need Your Support
To continue providing these incredible young people with transformative opportunities, we are raising funds for:
- Competition Fees: Ensuring participation/registration in elite step competitions like House Party Nationals.
- Costumes and Team Uniforms: Allowing our steppers to perform with creativity, confidence and unity.
- Travel and Lodging: Supporting trips beyond NYC to national competitions and experiences. We have a goal to travel to Charlotte, NC in May 2025 for "House Party National Step Competition".
- Team Building Activities: Strengthening relationships and creating lasting memories through cultural, educational and recreational outings.
- Professional and Personal Development: Offering workshops, seminars, and training to build life skills and career readiness.
