Support Kris Byrne's Fight Against Cancer

Hi, my name is Melissa Alessi, and I work for the Red Hook Central School District but most importantly I have a dear friend, Kris Byrne that I have worked with for over 20 years, and she has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. Kris has worked for the Red Hook Central School District for almost 40 years. She worked with students in the pre-first program for the first half of her career and worked in the K-2 office for the last half of her career.

Kris has a loving and caring husband, Jim, and a daughter, Jennifer, a son-in-law, Ben, and two grandchildren, Griffin and Madyn, whom she loves with all her heart. After all the sacrifices she has made for all of those around her, she needs help now due to the unforeseen medical expenses associated with tests and treatments that are not covered by her insurance. Kris has just finished a two week round of radiation and is now starting chemotherapy this week. Her treatment plan is going to be very aggressive and take its toll on the entire family. Kris is determined to fight this battle while keeping her sense of humor and a smile on her face.

I appeal to all her friends and all her co-workers and all the families that she has touched over the years to please consider contributing to Kris in her time of need. She will also need all our love, support and prayers during this very difficult time.
