Support Kristine's Fight Against ALS

Hello family, friends and associates, as many of you are aware back in March of 2023 our beautiful mother Kristine Louise Apple was diagnosed with ALS or "Lou Gehrig's Disease". On top of her diagnosis, her sister unexpectedly passed away less than a week after her diagnosis. To say the last year+ of her life and all those that love her has been difficult is an absolute understatement.

The days are getting shorter and living has become extensively more challenging, but that hasn't slowed down Kris. She is as mentally sound and stable as she was 2 years ago, it is her body that is being relentlessly attacked by this disease. We need the funds to continue to be able to handle all of her care in home without the aid of outside nurses or Dr's. All of her daily care has been handled by her husband Rich and her Daughter Kelsey. To call them living saints doesn't do it justice!

The costs of someone living with ALS is around $150,000.00 annually and while the family has in large part been able to hold down the fort on our own, it's time to reach out to all you great people to ask for you support.

On June 29th we will be holding the second annual "Kristine Apple ALS Warriors Ride" and raising money not only for our family but also for Team Gleason Foundation who assists with out of pocket costs for families associated with this disease.

Below is a link to Team Gleason Foundation services they have provided since 2011 when Steve Gleason a former NFL Safety was diagnosed with ALS and has since made great strides in supporting people with ALS through donations and legislation.

We as a family are blessed to have had the support of our family and friends throughout the past 15 months and the Apple clan from the bottom of our hearts cannot begin to thank you all enough.

Everyone who donates over $10.00 will receive a shirt (while supplies last) for the upcoming ride.

We don't want to stop here, every year we will have an annual ride and will sponsor a family living with ALS and will split the proceeds between them and Team Gleason!

At the moment, our mother is living for her family. Giving us as much time as possible with her, but she is tired and this disease has pulled most things from her, but the will to live for her family and the hopes to meet her soon to be newest Granddaughter baby Kristine Mae Apple in August are pulling her through.
