Support Kristin's Journey to Recovery

On early Sunday morning, May 5th, our Kristin was found face down on a Los Angeles sidewalk not far from her apartment, unconscious with a fractured skull. We have few details about what happened to her. We believe her severe injuries to be consistent with a brutal assault. Kristin remains unconscious at a Los Angeles hospital since the incident in Neurocritical care. She received lifesaving surgery to relieve her swelling brain, and she has made slow progress coming out of that procedure. Out of respect for Kristin, we are not providing hospital pictures showing the extent of her awful injuries.

Kristin’s family and friends are grief-stricken, but we are resolute in supporting her recovery from traumatic brain injury, which will be slow and uncertain. And we have provided LAPD with information to pursue investigation into the monster(s) that did this to her and left her for dead.

Anyone who knows Kristin is aware of her sweet and compassionate demeanor; her love for family, friends, and animals—and her steadfast independence. Sadly, her independence was taken from her, and she must travel on a long journey to recovery. She will be unable to live life normally and sustain herself for an extended time. We are prepared to take this journey with her, and we are ever appreciative of the outpouring of support from people in Kristin’s circle.
