Support Krystle's Gender Affirmation Surgery

My name is Krystle. I am gender non-binary. I have known that I am non-binary since I was very young, though I just found the words to describe who I am a few years ago. I want to have gender affirmation surgery.

I was scheduled to have this surgery in the U.S. in November. My primary care physician and my therapist wrote letters recommending this. I had a surgeon picked out. My surgery was canceled because my health insurance denied my pre-authorization claim three times. Because my insurance only allows three appeals, I cannot request another pre-authorization for this surgery this year.

My options are to pay out of pocket to have the surgery done in the U.S. (too much money), or to have the surgery done at ADATIP in Istanbul, Turkey. I'm going with ADATIP on 24 February, 2025. The cost of the surgery is $7,600 USD, which I will not pay until I arrive. The cost includes my hospital stay, a hotel stay for 7 days post-operation, and food for both myself and my spouse who will be traveling with me.

I've set the GoFundMe amount to cover the surgery and any platform fees here, but of course, anything extra will be welcome to cover airfare.
