Support Kylie in Giving Her Dad a Second Chance

My name is Kylie Robinson. My sisters and I are trying to raise money to help my dad get off the streets and get a second chance at life with us. My dad’s been homeless in the San Francisco tenderloin for 4 years now. 3 years ago I got a call he was found dead in a hotel room. They told me I only had a certain amount of days to come up with the money to cremate or set up burial services. I set up cremation services for him and we held a funeral a couple weeks later. We spent 3 years grieving and mourning the loss of our dad. Taking his ashes with us everywhere. Me and my dad were always very very close. 3 years later, (2 months ago) I get a call my dad was seen alive by a close friend. I contacted the medical examiners and asked if there’s anyway this could be true. They told me it’s protocol for all bodies to be properly identified. But as they looked into it they said some reason my dad was not finger printed. They sent me a picture of the body to identify if it was him. And it in fact…. Was not my dad. We don’t know whose ashes we had. I immediately went to the tenderloin and began searching for my dad. After 12 hours of searching We found our dad in very very poor health. Not only did he lose all recourses due to this mistake he also lost his monthly disability checks because he was marked deceased. We are trying to raise money to get our dad off the street. He needs housing and rehabilitation. He needs clothes and personal hygiene items. He has nothing.. we are trying to help with what we can, but being very young we don’t have a lot to offer. We are also putting our faith into the city attorneys to make it right to our family. In the instance that they don’t we are trying to save up for attorney fees incase we have to go that route.
