Support Kyna in her battle against Cancer!
Don protégé
Mothers day will never be the same. May 12th, Sunday, our rock, our family glue, our queen B and the best momma ever, fell mysteriously ill.
Throwing up and having bad headaches. Being the trooper she is, she laid down and rested but tried to work the following Monday. The same symptoms became even stronger
A CT scan was performed at a local urgent care facility. The results came back with major swelling in the brain. She was emergency transported by ambulance to Seton Williamson hospital. After much testing an MRI revealed a 4.5 cm cancerous lesion (tumor) putting pressure on her brain just behind the optic nerve. The official diagnosis is Central Nervous System Lymphoma. While it is an inoperable tumor, Kyna in undergoing intensive treatment with chemotherapy. Every other week she is hospitalized for 5 days for a closely monitored chemo infusion and the alternating week she receives another chemo drug infused in the cancer clinic.
While Kyna DOES have medical insurance, medical costs are staggering : brain surgery for tumor biopsy, ICU stay, multiple MRI's, week long hospital stays and constant bloodwork, infusions and medication. Kyna is unable to work and bills are accumulating. Any donation would help alleviate some of the stress associated with these unexpected and overwhelming expenses and ensure that Kyna gets the care that will save her life.
With that being said, we are an independent family so it hurts our pride and its hard to ask for help, but I certainly don't want her stressing over bills. Thank you so much if you can help but if that is not possible please remember Kyna and our family in your prayers and send positive vibes to this very courageous woman.
With much love,
Frank, Kyna, Taya and Kobe

A special note she is very determined to get back and support her Ulta family as soon as she can. She misses them very much!
