Support Lacey's Fight Against Cancer

My future sister in law Lacey has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3C Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. I am starting this fundraiser to ease some of the stress from the financial burden of treatment on her and her family and allow her to focus solely on healing.
Lacey is 33 and has been recovering from a horrific accident that occurred in March of this year. She was struck by a distracted driver while crossing the street outside of her apartment in Jeffersonville, IN. As a result, she sustained many injuries including; shattered cheek bones, broken jaw, intrusion of several teeth into the sinus cavity, fractured eye sockets, ear drums, pelvis, tailbone, hip, broken tib/fib, and unfortunately more. Lacey has successfully undergone several major surgeries such as facial reconstruction surgery and multiple surgeries to stabilize the broken bones in her pelvis and leg. However, there are still ongoing hurdles to overcome and heal from due to this accident.
With a positive attitude though, Lacey returned to full time work within 4 months after her accident to pay for living expenses for her and her cat, Spike, and medical bills. Despite her best efforts to return to "normal" life, the unimaginable happened. Lacey was diagnosed with an invasive and aggressive breast cancer. Her port was placed on her 33rd birthday, November 21. With her rigorous treatment process, that will span over the course of a year, it will make it impossible for her to continue with her usual routine. Lacey has broken her lease and is now living at home while she undergoes treatment.
Given that her treatment includes chemotherapy, immunotherapy, double mastectomy, and radiation, her medical bills are quite extensive. The financial burden will place a heavy weight on Lacey and her family's shoulders. Every dollar from the fundraiser will go directly to Lacey and her family to cover medical bills, living expenses, and other costs to help them during this extremely challenging time.
Lacey has always been one of the funniest, most selfless, and uplifting people I know. She is an amazing sister, a loving daughter, a trustworthy friend, and truly makes the world a better place.
Please let’s come together to support her now through this incredibly difficult and uncertain time. Any donation or share of this fundraiser means the absolute world.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
