Support Lacey's Journey to Recovery

My name is Kathryn, and I'm creating this GoFundMe in order to pay Lacey Ortega's medical expenses. Lacey was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis at just fifteen years old. This disease has destroyed her liver over the past ten years, requiring numerous hospital stays. She has been unable to work due to the toll it has taken on her. Last year, she was placed on the transplant list for a new liver. It was a challenging year with weekly labs, various procedures, and even more intensive care stays in the hospital. As Lacey climbed the transplant list, she became sicker and sicker and was unable to participate in the activities that previously brought her joy and relief.

I am happy to say that as of June 3, 2024, Lacey received a liver. Now that she can begin to heal and get better, donations are needed to help cover her medical expenses. Her family has dedicated all their resources to help her during this time, but there are not enough resources. Please consider donating to Lacey and her family.
