Support Laguna Hawks' Journey to Orlando

We are the Laguna Hawks youth football team based out of Laguna Pueblo. We are a 501(c) non profit organization made up of both boys and girls from the Laguna, Acoma, Seboyeta and Cubero areas. This season our heavyweight team ventured into the Rio Rancho Pop Warner which is an highly competitive league. They were able to finish in 2nd place for the season. In doing so it earned them their ticket to advance to the national championship tournament in Orlando, Florida in December. This awesome group of players not only secured their spot they also were able to maintain a great grade point average and their sportsmanship is like no other. And let me tell you about their HEART when games got tough and they only had 12 players game ready. When they had to play iron man football (both offense and defense) and giving up became an option they chose to stay strong and finish the game.

This group of boys leave everything on the field. So let’s help these boys see their first national tournament through and raise enough money for them to experience is very rare opportunity that Native American kids hardly get. This team is the only all Native American both staff and player in this nationwide tournament. And it’s such a honor because the great Jim Thorpe was coached by the founder of Pop Warner, Mr Glenn “Pop” Warner. And like the passion Mr. Warner instilled in the Carlisle Indian school football program as do our own coaches who are Anthony Sando, Coy Whitmore Sr., Ray Paul Lucero Sr., Chad Lucero, DJ Pino, Nate Gregory and Angelo Pino. So please help this one of a kind team get to their destination. Any amount is one step closer to become successful in their future endeavors in football. Thank you for your support! GO HAWKS!
