Support Lakita's Journey to a New Start

My name is Lakita Byrd. I am a woman of God who has been through so many things from being in a group home to going to jail. to try to sell drugs to feed my girls , being raped 4times and my heart is still open to love to turn in my life all the way around giving my life to Christ was the best decision in my life. God has turned everything around for me.

He even gave me a new title grandmother to two beautiful, smart identical, twins, Samaria, and Sariyah, they have been a joy to our family but now I need some help and I’m asking that you all will find it in your heart to help me. I’m a single mother and grandmother who is trying her best to show my children that with God all things are possible my grandmother helped cosign for me a 2018 Honda pilot because the last car I had there was a gas leak and she felt like I couldn’t be driving the twins around in a car like that I had some family that told Her not to do it but she trusted God and she did it anyway. I have had my car for three years no matter what was going on in my life. God still provided away for me to pay my car note earlier this year we lost the loved one to a tragic death And I lost my job. I tried to continue to pay my car note but I fell behind still trusting God I got a job interview and it went so well. Yesterday They tried to offer me two positions. One was for an employment specialist, helping young people in Chicago get a career and the other was a caseworker , I stayed in the interview for an hour. I left at 1 PM and at 2 PM. They called me back for a second interview and offered me the position as a caseworker. Wow! How about that! God is good. I have a career not just a job I waited 13 years for this career everything I went through in my life for this to help others like me! but on the same day, my car was repossessed , the next day was my daughter‘s birthday. She turned 23. I’m so proud of her. She’s a great mother. She graduated high school and she’s even thinking about going to the Navy. Wow how amazing I talked to my loan company this morning and they told me that I needed $2200 as opposed to the $4100 that they spoke of it first , I need it by June 20, 2024 in order to get my car back and get back on track. I don’t know when I’ll receive my first paycheck from my new job, so God put it on my heart to make this campaign and ask for help, something I’m not always used to doing, but God has turned that around for me and I am trusting that this is the right decision. I don’t want to do anything illegal or wrong for the money. I’m just asking that this campaign will reach the right people who have a heart to help someone, who has been through so much who is asking for the new and who needs to believe that there are still good people in the world who is just willing to help someone else I wish I could promise to pay everyone back because I would, but I will send every donator a thank you card please help me help me to show my grandmother she did the right thing help me to trust and show my girls that when you believe dreams can come true.
