I want to share a bit about my dad, Lamonte Brock Green, known to his friends as "LG Love." You see, my relationship with him wasn't always as close as I wished it could have been. Life has a funny way of throwing curveballs, and sometimes, distance creeps in where you least expect it.

Dad was a father of 5 and a grandpa to 3 wonderful grandkids. He had this incredible sense of humor that could light up a room, and a passion for music that ran deep in his soul. But what really defined him was his unwavering faith in God.

Over the years, Dad and I had our ups and downs. We drifted apart for a while, but something amazing happened in the last few years. We started talking more, laughing more, and really getting to know each other again. It was like we were making up for lost time, and I'm so grateful for every moment we had together.

Unfortunately, Dad's health had been declining for some time, and after a long and courageous battle, he passed away. Losing him has been one of the hardest things I've ever had to face. But amidst the grief, there's a sense of peace knowing that we were able to reconnect and rebuild our relationship.

Now, as we prepare to say goodbye to Dad, I know it's important for us to come together as a family. Dad would have wanted nothing more than for us to gather, put aside any differences, and honor his memory with love and unity.
