Support Larry Jackson's Fight for Justice

My name is Larry Jackson. On November 22nd, 2023, I harvested a deer in southern WV. On December 4th, 2023, the WV DNR started to receive two complaints that I harvested it with a rifle, which is illegal in the county I hunt. These officers proceeded to get search warrants for my home, which they searched on December 22nd, 2023. They took my cellphone, and the arrow that was used in harvesting the deer. They proceeded to get a search warrant for my phone, again without probable cause, on January 2nd, 2024. And they proceeded to search "all contents of the phone." I was never served with a copy of the search warrant for my phone, nor was I informed about when the search would take place. The search warrant for my phone was never returned to the magistrate court, as required by law. Several of my Constitutional Rights have been violated. Including, but not limited to, the 4th Amendment and 14th Amendment. After "rummaging" through my phone, they did end up charging me in April, 2024 with multiple counts of hunting without a license and conspiracy, after I filed a complaint on them. They arrested me, on 18 counts of misdemeanor charges, and I went a bond of $13,500. The conspiracy charge was from the phone. The day they were "rummaging" through it, I was getting email notifications indicating several of my passwords were attempting to be changed. I was asked in the emails if it was me. I clicked the link that it was not me changing them, and they charged me with obstruction. We requested multiple times for a copy of the search warrant, which took us months to get!

In short, what started as a gun charge changed to other charges coming from the "rummaging" through my phone. They also received a search warrant for my Facebook in April, 2024. After they had already went through my Facebook on my phone. Their report says, "in the middle of February, 2024, officers were contacted by the prosecutor stating there were issues with the warrants, and to stop the investigation. With approval from the prosecutor, we started it back up."

They even admit there were issues. However, it did not stop them from continuing their illegal searches!

The WV DNR says, "the wound in the head is 'beleived' to be a rifle wound." The "fatal" wound that took the deer. However, you can clearly see from the attached pictures, the head wound is older. It had already began to heal. I have pictures from another man's camera of the deer, TWO DAYS before I harvested it. IT IS ABSOULTLY CLEAR, THAT HEAD WOUND WAS NOT FATAL! Yet, that didn't stop them from all of this! Why has my Rights been violated, yet the callers who made these false statements have not been charged with calling in a lie! The head wound was nothing more than an injury he received while fighting it appears. It is not a fatal gunshot wound! The black and white pictures are from two days prior. The color picture is about two hours after I had taken him.

I have spent over $40,000 on this right now, and continue getting court hearing dates in the mail!

The reason I have started this fundraiser is to help with these expenses, and hopefully help bring an end to the Rights of The People being violated! I am willing to fight this all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, if necessary to protect not only my Constitutional Rights, but the Rights of The People everywhere!

If they are allowed to get away with this, this case will be used by other courts in other states to constitute doing the same thing! We simply can not allow this to happen!! The 4th Amendment prevents "rummaging" through your personal effects, whether your home, or phone. The law simply can not say, "we think" and then be allowed to rummage through your personal effects! The 14th Amendment states they can deprive you of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. They still, to this day have all of my property, including my phone. My phone, like so many others, has a world of private information on it. What have they looked at? What do they continue to look at? And what reason do they have to continue to hold my phone?

One of the same "officer's" also gave me a ticket for "following too closely" about two weeks ago! I recorded that stop (which took over 22 minutes) it's mostly audio, but its clear. They are willing to stop at nothing to try and charge me with something! I am attaching a link to the video on YouTube.
