Support Laulima Farm and Family: A New Chipper!

On May 30th we lost a beloved father, husband, brother, son, teacher, and friend.

Josh Stearn brought people together to co-create a vision of a more beautiful, harmonious, and ecological world. So many of us have benefited from our experience at Laulima Farms, whether it was a home for years or a momentary sanctuary that allowed one to believe that a deeper relationship between humans and the earth was possible.
The community that was created at and around the farm over the last 20+ years has rippled out into the world and nourished many.

Josh leaves behind a legacy that is nothing short of inspiring, and a farm and family that will be feeling his loss forever.

His wife and long time partner Beth will be continuing their work at Laulima, and the biggest need at the moment is a chipper for the farm. A commercial grade chipper is not inexpensive but invaluable for a farming operation, particularly one in the jungle. It allows waste materials to be turned into fertile soil, and keep the land open and clear for gardens to flourish. Chips applied to the garden allow fungal mycelium to thrive, one of the main components in a healthy soil biology, and to mulch and feed the fruit trees and vegetable gardens key nutrients.

Let's show our love, appreciation, and support for Beth, Olena and the Laulima Farms family but chipping in what we can!
