Support Leah & Family: ER Nurse Brain Surgery Fund
Donation protected
I am urgently reaching out on behalf of my cousin, Leah, an ER nurse and mother of three girls aged 1, 2, and 11. Leah recently underwent emergency brain surgery to remove an exceptionally rare and dangerously sizable tumor, discovered in the middle of her brain during a medical investigation prompted by severe migraines.
The urgency of her condition led to surgery just two weeks before Christmas. The colloid cyst, a highly uncommon and perilous occurrence, required immediate attention due to its size and potential complications. Leah's resilience has been inspiring, but the road to recovery presents formidable challenges.
Complicating this already difficult situation, Leah has been working less since the birth of her two youngest daughters, with her husband, a dedicated Police officer, becoming the primary provider for their family of five. Now, with Leah unable to work during her recovery, the family faces significant financial strain. Leah's husband can barely work himself as he is needed at home to provide care for his wife and three young children.
We've initiated this GoFundMe campaign to offer comprehensive support during this critical time. Your contributions will assist in covering medical expenses, ongoing care, and the immediate needs of the family. The recovery time is uncertain, adding to the financial strain, as Leah's husband's ability to work is limited until she recovers.
Your generosity, whether financial or through sharing this campaign, makes a meaningful impact on the well-being of this loving family.
Please consider joining us in supporting Leah and her family as they navigate this dangerous and challenging journey. Your compassion is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Jessica and Will Martinez
