Support Leanne and family on her road to recovery
Donation protected
On May 11th, 2024, my beautiful sister-in-law Leanne suffered a brain haemorrhage while out with family and friends. Thanks to the amazing reaction of her friends and her husband, my brother Chris, she was at Wrexham Maelor Hospital within minutes. This undoubtedly saved her life.
She was looked after brilliantly at A&E before she was transferred to Walton Hospital that night, where she underwent surgery. We were told Leanne was in a critical condition and to prepare for all eventualities. She was placed on a ventilator and sedated.
For the past week Leanne has continued to be looked after in ITU at Walton, where she has come off the ventilator and sedation. She was yesterday (19th May) moved to HDU and is slowly beginning her journey to recovery.
We do not yet know what this will look like or how long it will take, and as Leanne, Chris, Leon. Seren and Lili begin this journey, we want to eliminate any immediate financial stress so they can exclusively concentrate on the road ahead.
Unbeknown to the family, we have set up a little collection to help with this and would be incredibly grateful for any donations received. The funds will be used to replace lost income, cover travel expenses that come with daily journeys to Walton and to help with any support Leanne may need.
We thank everyone for the messages and love sent to us all over what has been the most horrendous time.
Come on Leanne, you can do it xx
