Support Lees-McRae College in Aftermath of Hurricane Helene
Tax deductible
I am the Board Chair of Lees-McRae College (LMC) in Banner Elk, NC and raising money to help rebuild the college, cover temporary housing, transportation, food and operational expenses incurred as a result of Hurricane Helene . I live in Charlotte, NC and am working with local institutions to provide temporary housing for the 50+ students who were displaced by the storm. Many of these students are international and need a safe place to stay and continue their studies via Zoom for the next few months. Anything you are able to donate is greatly appreciated. As of 10/6/24 I've been able to help settle over 45 students/coaches in dorms at Queens University (shown in photo above) and hope to place more there in the next week. LMC's President is working 24/7 with local authorities to clean up and start rebuilding the damaged areas on campus, however the recovery efforts for the college and surrounding community are monumental.
Your donations will go to support temporary housing, meals, clothing, and basic necessities, transportation, support for clean-up and rebuilding LMC.
Please share and know your support will help not only the LMC students & campus but also the businesses in the surrounding areas who depend on a healthy LMC to support them. Below is a link that tells you about LMC
