Support Leif's Family

Update 7/3/24 - 

On Tuesday, July 2, the decision was made for Leif to be an organ donor. Leif was honored with an incredible honor walk at UW hospital, as well as a moment of silence outside of Meriter hospital. The loss of Leif has been profound and incredibly difficult. We will always remember Leif for the amazing, funny, caring person that he was. There are no shortage of Leif stories, and we will continue telling them forever.

This gofundme will stay open to help continue supporting Leif’s family after their unimaginable loss.

On Sunday, June 16th, Leif was involved in a traumatic, life-changing bicycle accident. Leif has already undergone multiple surgeries and is receiving care at UW Hospital. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him.

This accident has not only changed Leif's life, but also the life of his wife, Becky, and their three children, Cody, Maxwell, and Owen.

I am organizing this on behalf of Leif and his family. Leif is a fantastic friend and coworker to all of us at Meriter's OR. We are hoping to raise whatever possible to help alleviate some of the financial burden on Leif and his family at this time. We all know Leif as someone who is always willing to go out of his way to help others, and are hoping to do that for him in return.
