‘Keep Me Posted' -A Walk for Mental Fitness

Donation protected
Greetings from the open road! As of February 13, 2025, I’m over a month into my 3,000-mile trek from Los Angeles to New York City, aiming to spark conversations, break the stigma surrounding mental health, and raise awareness for suicide prevention. This journey, dubbed “Keep Me Posted,” is more than just a walk—it’s a movement for connection, hope, and resilience.

Why This Matters:

Mental health challenges affect millions daily, yet stigma often prevents individuals from seeking help. Suicide remains one of the leading causes of death globally, making the conversation around mental fitness more urgent than ever.

Through this campaign, I am committed to:
• Sharing personal stories of resilience to inspire hope.
• getting involved in community events along my route that bring people together.
• Raising funds to support mental health resources and suicide prevention programs. I just walked for stop soldier suicide and have more to come.

How You Can Help:

This journey is a massive undertaking, and your support is crucial. Your generous contributions will help cover essential costs, including:

• Travel Expenses: Food, lodging, and supplies for the journey. Every little bit helps.
• Community Activations: Hosting mental health workshops and events along the way.
• Outreach & Awareness: Creating content and resources to share messages of hope and resilience.

In addition to monetary donations, you can also contribute unused or expiring hotel points to support lodging needs during the journey. Many hotel loyalty programs allow members to donate points to charitable causes or individuals in need. For instance, programs like Hilton Honors, Marriott Bonvoy, and IHG Rewards Club offer options to donate points to various organizations. By donating your unused hotel points, you can directly support the ongoing efforts of Keep Me Posted.

Join the Movement:

If you’re unable to donate financially or with points, you can still make a significant impact by sharing this campaign and spreading the word about Keep Me Posted. Together, we can save lives and inspire a culture of compassion and connection.

Let’s continue walking together—step by step, conversation by conversation—toward a brighter future.

Thank you for your unwavering support,

Leisa Aras
