Support Leon In His Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Update: Leon passed away peacefully at his home on Monday August 5th at 3:50 p.m. after a very short battle with cancer. He was still working just 5 short weeks ago, when he started having pain in his right abdomen. I cannot believe my life-long friend and co-worker is gone so quickly. Leon was the sole provider for this family; therefore, his wife of 39 years, Tina needs our help more than ever. Please give and please share.
My name is Ron Monmaney. I’m the owner of Mitchell and Son, a machine and fabrication shop located in Memphis, TN. Charles “Leon” Gardner is a life-long friend and coworker of mine who has recently been diagnosed with terminal stage 4 cancer. I have known Leon nearly my entire life, graduating high school with his younger sister, Michelle, and working with him at both Industrial Machine and Fabrication and Mitchell and Son as an adult. Leon has been through a tremendous amount of hardship. His sister Michelle, passed away in 2007 and he has been enduring the poor health of his parents for many years now. Notably, Leon has also watched his own daughter be bedridden and slowly die to a terminal condition over the past four years. With Leon’s cancer diagnosis, his entire life has been changed quite abruptly. Just weeks ago, no one could have anticipated such circumstances. As he begins chemotherapy and treatment, he is unable to work. Leon is going to need help covering daily expenses and the costs of his treatment going into this chapter of his life. I have decided to open a GoFundMe to aid Leon and his family in their medical expenses and, unfortunately, anticipated funeral costs. Any contribution is immensely appreciated. If you are unable to donate, I ask that you please share Leon’s story.
