Support Leonel Alvarenga's Funeral Expenses

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved grandfather, Leonel Alvarenga.

My last remaining grandparent, mi abuelito Leonel, transitioned to ancestor yesterday.

After suffering a massive heart attack on October 19, 2024, he fought valiantly but sadly succumbed to complications on October 23, 2024.

A kind, humble and sweet man who loved his family and had an infectious gentleness to him. I love how much he loved my mom especially, but he made all his kids and grandkids feel every ounce of love he had. As you can see he loved to sit by trees and touch grass, he loved dancing to las cumbias and his favorite food were pupusas salvadoreñas.

Coming from El Salvador we have very limited roots in tact to trace back to our little country, but my grandparents made sure that we would be the seeds to grow and create new life and roots. That we would remember where we came from and who we are, why we are here and why we are the special ones to create a new legacy for all of us. I was very blessed to have amazing grandparents that infused love and purpose into all their grandchildren, whether they said it or not, we knew from their energy they put all their faith in us.
