Support Leo's Critical Recovery Journey

Update From Nancy (Mom):

I cannot begin to express the gratitude from the bottom of my heart for everyone’s generosity. It has been weeks since the accident but in some ways, it still feels like yesterday. Time is both slow and fast, ticking by in the middle of the night as Leo jumps from one nightmare to another. Speeding past when he is rushed from one procedure to the next. We have not had time to grieve for what we lost or how life will be forever changed.

However, we are feeling the love from people, some we have known a life-time while others just briefly or not even at all. To know that there are such kind souls in the world that feel our pain and are doing what you can to help us. I am humbled in ways that I can never fully express.

Leo’s health journey is a long one. He amazes me everyday by his strength and perseverance. When I took that very long flight back from Hong Kong to be with him, knowing I had already lost the love of my life, I could not bear the fact of losing him too. Leo was in very critical condition but he fought everyday and continues to get stronger and stronger. His transformation from the 9th of November till now has been amazing.

Many of Leo’s wounds and breaks will hopefully heal intime. Unfortunately, we are being told his spine will not. While there is no cure today, my heart believes in miracles and possibilities. Possibilities that the future is unknown and technology is ever evolving. I am so blessed by the gratitude of everyone to help with some of those pending costs of his medical care as his needs will be great. I believe in Leo and I am so thankful that you do as well. He really is one amazing kid and takes so much after his wonderful Dad.

Thank you to everyone again, from the bottom of my heart. Hug your loved ones a little tighter and a little longer this Holiday Season as it is so easy to overlook the blessings we have until they are gone.

On November 9th what started as a fun Father Son day ended in a tragic ATV accident resulting in the passing of Oscar. A wonderful Father, Husband , Brother ,Uncle ,Son in Law, and Friend who will be dearly missed by many. While we grieve Oscar's loss, he would want all energy, attention, and love to be focused on the best part of him, his son Leonardo.

Leo sustained serious injuries and is fighting for his life each day. He is in a very critical time in his recovery, but we have begun to see some improvements. We are optimistic that with time, love, and prayers, he will recover.
