Support Leo's Recovery from Dog Attack

Woof! This is Leo the Bear!

He isn't your typical feisty type of Pomeranian. Fun, loving, and bubbly. Leo strives to make everyone's day happy! Everywhere he goes he is adored!

Unfortunately, he had a bad day on March 11, 2024. As I was at work, he was attacked by a neighbor's Akita, a 80lb dog, while on a walk with my brother. This Akita was unsupervised and off leashed. He relentlessly bit Leo. Thankfully another neighbor was able to intervene. But the lasting pain still haunts poor Leo to this day. He had a horrible bite wound oh his left leg. It took multiple visits to the ER and vet to heal.

We were brought with bad news though. Leo will need a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO). His femoral head won't stay in his hip socket. The operation was originally planned for05/23/24 but I simply cannot afford it. The Akita's dog owner is also in financial distress. I'll most likely push the surgery till June.

The purpose of this gofundme is to fund raise money for Leo's surgery and the additional cost for post op physical therapy. My bills and income cannot afford the surgery and post therapy cost. I do have the other owner's contact but he too is in financial distress. Hopefully this gofundme will eliminate some stress for the both of us, especially poor Leo. He did not deserved any of this. Any donation will greatly help us! We all just want Leo up and running like before! His high energy and bubbly self!
