Support Letty's Fight and Recovery

Dear friends and family,

I'm reaching out to share the story of my sister, Letty. Recently, life has thrown her a series of challenges that would test the strongest of spirits. Letty, a single mother, has been navigating life with unwavering courage, strength and grace.

In January, she lost her employment which threw her into a realm of uncertainty. As if that wasn't enough, she was already grappling with the sudden loss of her son's father, amplifying their grief and adding another layer of complexity to her already tumultuous situation.

Just when we thought the storm was subsiding, life unleashed another unexpected twist. In February, Letty was diagnosed with stage 1 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (breast cancer). Although remaining optimistic, she had surgery in early April to remove the mass, our hopes were that surgery and radiation is all that she needed. Up until recently, she learned that her prognosis changed from stage 1 to stage 2, and chemotherapy would be an unavoidable part of her fight and recovery.

This means that Letty will be unable to work for the foreseeable future as she focuses on her recovery. This adds a significant financial burden to her already challenging situation. Letty was hesitant at first about reaching out for help, but the financial strain has made it clear that she can't face this battle alone. We are reaching out to our community, humbly asking for your support during this difficult time.
