Support Lewis with his fight against Leukaemia

Our best mate Lewis, just turned 25, has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). ALL is a rare type of cancer that targets the blood cells and bone marrow. It develops and spreads quickly requiring an early diagnosis and immediate treatment. As of this week Lewis undergoes intense chemotherapy and many other remedies to aggressively battle against this rare blood cancer.

Lewis is unfortunately wheelchair bound as blood cancer has entered all over his bones in his spine, sternum and ribcage meaning he cannot shower, dress or walk unaided.

Lewis, has had to put his whole life on hold whilst he undergoes treatment with his mum Kahli and long term partner Emily as his only 2 permanent visitors, whilst in isolated conditions in hospital for the at least the next 5 weeks. Lewis is currently unable to work (potentially for the next 2 years), adding extra unnecessary financial stress whilst treatment commences. Specialists have advised 6 months of intense treatment with a further 18 months of health maintenance and chemotherapy, which may result in a bone marrow transplant.

Whilst the prognosis is treatable there is always uncertainty with cancer, especially with ALL’s high relapse rates.

We are looking to raise what we can for Lewis to take away any financial burden at this awful time. This will help whilst he is out of work for the foreseeable future, as the bills unfortunately do not stop! On October 5th, as a group we will be shaving our heads and beards, whilst Lewis battles on. We also look to complete the 3 Peaks Challenge around March 2025. (Ben Nevis , Scafell Pike , Snowdon ) all in 24 hours too. Other events will also follow that you are more than welcome to join, and help Lewis with this long and tough journey ahead.
