Support Liams Fight to Recovery
Donation protected
On February 13th, Liam's life took an unexpected turn during an extreme storm in Melbourne. As he was leaving work, he was struck by a gum tree. He was rushed to The Alfred Hospital where he went through 12 long hours of surgery, including three major life operations. We had the chance to see him for a few minutes before he went back in for further surgeries. Liam was in a drug-induced coma for a couple of weeks as the team at the Alfred did everything they could to save him.
If you have ever have had the chance to meet Liam, even if you just had one conversation with him, it wouldn’t be surprising if he made an impact on you. Liam is the most beautiful boy and he has the biggest heart, he holds so much strength and determination.
Liam is a fighter and he is making progress each day, using all his strength to overcome challenges. We are happy to announce that Liam has woken from his coma and he has started his journey to recovery. He has severe spinal cord damage at C5 and has recently been moved to The Austin Hospital where they can focus on his spinal injury.
Despite the long road ahead, Liam's resilience shines through. Grateful for all the love, support, and prayers, we've organised a fundraiser to help his recovery financially.
Donations will help ensure Liam gets the best rehabilitation and treatment, giving him the best chance to have a full recovery, it will be a long journey but we hope he can have the most successful outcome possible. Donations will also help make sure Liam is comfortable and has the equipment he requires as he makes his next steps towards recovery.
Every donation and prayer helps, and we genuinely appreciate all the support as we stand by Liam on his road to recovery. Thank you.
