Support Lil Man's Memorial and His Children

Darryl (Lil Man) Hudson was a young man from Pittsburg, CA, who cherished his two children, Trinity (age 20) and Zariyah (age 17), more than anything else in the world. Lil Man was big on family and wholeheartedly believed in helping others in the community, with an emphasis on the youth embracing their talent, whatever that may be. He believed in putting your education first and always tried to lead by example. So much so that he began to take college courses so he could not only study some of the same topics with his daughter but also show and prove to her that regardless of your circumstances, it is never too late and you are never too old to go after what truly matters. Darryl was a major influence in Zariyah’s educational development and achievements. So much so that she herself joined a non-profit organization for the city of Antioch to mentor at-risk youth and was recently recognized and awarded by the Board of Supervisors for Contra Costa County.
Lil Man also had a deep love for music; to some, he was hailed a lyrical genius and was very well known in the community. Over the numerous years of him making music, he’s worked with some of the influential artists in the Bay Area, attributing to not only the Pittsburg music scene but also helping shape the Bay Area music culture at a very young age.
Unfortunately, at a young age, not having the guidance that he so eagerly offered, mistakes were made that led to him being incarcerated. Even in prison, his love for his children and his passion for music never wavered. In fact, it grew stronger by the day. His relationship with Zariyah surpassed anything he could’ve imagined (Lil Man loved Trinity just as much, please don’t misunderstand. Trin has a disability and is non-verbal, so he had to go through others regarding her well-being. However, she too was the apple of his eye). They truly had a remarkable relationship and would speak on the phone multiple times a day, sharing everything with one another until one day Zariyah didn’t receive his call. On Aug 22nd, 2024, tragically, Lil Man was killed attempting to break up a fight between other inmates. Now, his family and children are seeking donations to give him the farewell he deserved and so although they will never receive another call, his children can properly say goodbye. Anything you find in your heart to donate will definitely be appreciated, and all funds will go towards Lil Man’s services and towards counseling for his children. Prayers are greatly accepted and needed as well. Thank you all.
